Caribbean Philosophical Association’s 11th annual international meeting

The Caribbean Philosophical Association‘s 11th annual international meeting, “Shifting the Geography of Reason XI: Diverse Lineages of Existentialism—Africana, Feminist, and Decolonial” will take place June 19-21 in St. Louis, MO. In addition to three-days of panels co-organized by the CPA, the Simone de Beauvoir Society, the North American Sartre Society, the Merleau-Ponty Circle, the Philosophy of Born of Struggle Society, the Roundtable on Latina Feminism, the Collegium of Black Women Philosophers, and PhiloSOPHIA, there will be a performance by the Chicago-based funk and blues band, The O’My’s, a keynote lecture by Lewis Gordon entitled, “Existential Philosophy as World Philosophy,” and a panel discussion featuring CPA prize winners, Frieda Ekotto, Leonard Harris, Abdul JanMohamed, and Ngũgĩ wa Thiong’o.
