Jervis to speak on 3/25 as part of Democracy Conference

Robert Jervis, Adlai E. Stevenson Professor of International Politics at Columbia University, will offer the keynote address at the 3rd annual Conference on Democracy and Government. His talk is entitled

“Political Science and Politics: Multiple and Difficult Relationships”

Prof. Jervis is highly-regarded and widely-published. His works include Perception and Misperception in International Politics (Princeton University Press, 1976), The Meaning of the Nuclear Revolution (Cornell University Press, 1989), System Effects: Complexity in Political and Social Life (Princeton University Press, 1997), American Foreign Policy in a New Era (Routledge, 2005), Why Intelligence Fails: Lessons from the Fall of the Shah and Iraqi WMD (Cornell University Press, forthcoming), and several edited volumes as well as numerous articles in scholarly journals.
