Scruggs wins prestigious Russell Sage fellowship

Professor Lyle Scruggs has been selected as a Visiting Scholar at the Russell Sage Foundation in New York City. While there, he will be working on a book that examines the historical evolution of social welfare programs around the world and in the U.S. since the 1970s. The Russell Sage Foundation was founded in 1907 to promote the is dedicated to strengthening the methods, data, and theoretical core of the social sciences as a means of diagnosing social problems and improving social policies.
